Richard Leech has been referred to in the press as a “National Treasure”. For over twenty years he has performed with virtually every major opera house and symphony in the world in historic venues from From La Scala to the Met and Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl. With more than a dozen classical and crossover recordings to his credit he is excited to finally have the opportunity to sing this collection of popular repertoire that has always held a special place in his heart. He hopes that you will enjoy this evening of wonderful music as much as he enjoys performing it. “They say life is a song, and I believe it should be any song you want it to be”, Leech says in his show. In this collaboration with legendary producer/arranger/director Buddy Bregman, Leech has created an evening of music that is at once nostalgic and very new as he interprets the beloved standards of stage, film, jazz and more. “Buddy has outdone himself with these arrangements”, says Leech, “giving me everything I could want and so much more.
